Southern Regional Algebra Conference

The Department of Mathematics and Statistics of the University of South Alabama cordially invites you to attend the Southern Regional Algebra Conference 2017 (SRAC 2017), to be held on the campus of the University of South Alabama in Mobile, Alabama, March 17-19, 2017. The program will start on Friday, March 17, at 1 PM and end on Sunday, March 19, at 12:30 PM.
The Southern Regional Algebra Conference is an annual weekend conference that has been in existence since 1988. It serves an important role as part of the algebra research community in the Gulf Coast Region. This year's scientific program includes plenary talks on “Computational Methods in Algebra and Representation Theory", a topic that will be of interest to many researchers. Jon Carlson from the University of Georgia and Klaus Lux from the University of Arizona will be the principal speakers. In addition, the program consists of fifty 25-minute talks that are organized in two parallel sessions. All talks will be held in the Humanities Building on the USA Campus. Friday night's Conference Dinner will be in The Student Center Terrace and the the Barbecue Dinner on Saturday night at the USA Faculty Club. Directions from the Humanities Building to the Faculty Club can be found here.
