Odyssey USA
Odyssey USA is a community of adult learners who share intellectual curiosity and who participate in educational opportunities offered them through The Center for Continuing Education (CCE). Courses are designed to stimulate the mind and to encourage personal growth throughout life. Topics are challenging and thought-provoking with mind-stretching activities on a wide variety of subjects. These courses are open to any adult in the community, or thanks to technology, any adult in the world! Most courses are offered both in the classroom and on Zoom. There are four terms per year, and each term lasts six weeks.
To become a member, simply register for one or more courses in any term throughout the year. There are two terms in the spring and two terms in the fall. Memberships expire on July 30 of each calendar year.
Acrylics Art Courses

Understanding Acrylics and Their Applications
Have you ever wondered if there is an artist in you just waiting to be discovered? Well, there is no time like the present to find out! In this course on understanding acrylics, you will learn about painting with this versatile medium. Is it water-soluble when wet? Yes. Because it is a plastic polymer, it dries into a flexible, water-resistant and durable surface. This course will include information on the theory and technique combined with practical application and hands-on exercises.

Continuing Acrylics Painting
This course is for students who would like to delve deeper into acrylics. This is a continuation of Understanding Acrylics Paints and is perfect for students who feel comfortable moving beyond the basics!

U.S. Constitution: Origins and Creations

The Constitution of the United States is one of the most important and revered documents in history. Our national memory is largely built around the work of a small group of "Founding Fathers" sequestered in a room in Philadelphia, Pennsylvania. When they emerged, the document was done, merely awaiting ratification, so we tend to assume. This course will explore the ideas that those men brought to the convention as well as the processes, including ratification, that produced the working document that has become the foundation of our government.
Medical Topics: An Exploration with Physicians

This course, presented by USA College of Medicine faculty, will explore diverse, current medical issues, as well take a glimpse into historical medicine. Classroom lecture topics include Gene Therapy, RNA and DNA Vaccines, Diabetes, Coronary Artery Disease, Health Issues During Travel, and Civil War Medicine. This opportunity allows learners to glean information and to discuss the issues in an interactive classroom environment
