Courses for a Minor in Museum Studies

Requirement: 21 hours total of credit hours: core courses and internships

21 Total Credit Hours (at least one course in each AN, ARH, and HY; 6 hours can be shared between the major and minor fields)

Core Courses:

  1. MUM 201: Introduction to Museum Studies (3 hours)
  2. Internship (3 to 6 hours):
    • HY 498: Internship to History (3 hours)
    • ARH 360: Internship Art Museum (3 hours)
    • AN 496 Anthropology Internship (3 hours)

Methods (6 hours of the following):

  1. AN 435, AN 442, or AN 445 (3 hours)
  2. ARH 493: Research Methods in Art History (3 hours)
  3. HY 496: Public History (3 hours)

Electives (6-9 Hours from the approved list)
