The USA Medical Alumni Association (MAA) fosters a lifelong, mutually beneficial relationship between the Frederick P. Whiddon College of Medicine and its alumni. We fulfill this mission by supporting the professional advancement of our graduates and elevating medical education for the next generation.
Who Can Join?
Membership is open to all Whiddon College of Medicine MD and PhD graduates, as well as alumni of USA Health residency and fellowship programs. Your dues directly power MAA operations — funding student scholarships, milestone traditions, career networking, and alumni programming.

We invite new and returning members to make a lasting commitment with a one-time gift of $1,000. Lifetime Members enjoy exclusive discounts on Reunion Weekend registration and permanent recognition in our online Lifetime Member Directory. (link to directory)
Annual & Recent Graduate Options
Standard Annual Memberships are $100/year, or $25/year for Recent Graduates (defined as interns, residents, and fellows within 5 years of medical school completion). Annual memberships renew automatically each year and can be canceled at any time.
Give to the MAA Annual Fund
Our robust student traditions, alumni events, and mentorship networks exist because of one thing: your annual support. The Medical Alumni Annual Fund powers the lifelong value of your degree by funding over $60,000 in annual student awards — including M1 Scholarships and M2 Legacy Awards — and strengthening our network across four core areas:
- Alumni Engagement & CME: Multi-class reunions, regional alumni events, annual alumni and leadership awards, and continuing medical education lectures.
- Career & Mentorship: Specialty mixers, mentorship programming, and professional networking between alumni and current students.
- Student Financial Aid: Need-based financial aid for USMLE board preparation resources, as well as annual student leadership and travel awards.
- Milestone Traditions: Sponsor of M3 White Coats, PhD lab coats, and Match Day celebrations.
In addition to the USA MAA's continued growth of the Medical Alumni Scholarship Endowment, which fuels several annual M1 scholarships as well as the M2 Legacy awards, many medical alumni classes have also established endowed class scholarships to leave a lasting legacy and support students on behalf of their graduating class.
