The University of South Alabama College of Nursing has been awarded a $3.4 million, four-year grant focused on growing the number of registered nurses in clinics and hospitals, particularly in rural and underserved communities.

The University of South Alabama College of Nursing recently was awarded a $2.5 million grant from the Health Resources and Services Administration for RISE ANEW, its new and innovative Advanced Nursing Education Workforce program to address the urgent need for high-quality primary care services.

The University of South Alabama College of Nursing has enrolled its largest cohort of students in the history of the traditional Bachelor of Science in Nursing program. The 193-member class began the professional component of the nursing program at the start of the Fall 2023 semester.
