Alabama Science and Engineering Fair (ASEF) COVID-19 Policy
As an official affiliate of the Regeneron International Science and Engineering Fair
(ISEF), the Alabama Science and Engineering Fair (ASEF) and all Alabama Regional Fairs
are bound to abide by all Official Rules and Regulations. With regard to COVID-19,
Regeneron ISEF has issued the following policy. ISEF COVID-19 Policy
Regional Fair Directors, teachers, students and parents should note this event will
be held in person. There will be no virtual option provided for participants. Because
judging at all regional and state events will be completed without knowledge of a
student's vaccination status, for each ISEF Bid, alternate winners should be named
in the event that the student(s) selected does not meet the vaccine requirements.
For example, if a Regional Fair is eligible to award two ISEF bids, they are encouraged
to select and name up to two alternates at their Award Ceremony.
