Dr. Julie Estis, Executive Director of Academic Enhancement and COVID-19 Response Coordinator, was appointed to the faculty of the Department of Speech Pathology & Audiology in 2004 (CV). In her role as Executive Director of Academic Enhancement, she applies principles of assessment, planning, implementation, and evaluation to South’s ad hoc and longstanding initiatives to continuously improve student learning and academic success. She supports ongoing SACSCOC accreditation and strategic planning efforts. She also coordinates USA’s response to the COVID-19 pandemic across divisions, collaborating with USA Health, and organizes and executes USA’s COVID-19 response plans and policies. Her research interests include team-based learning, interprofessional education, and teaching and learning in higher education, as well as research in communication sciences and disorders. She is the Team-Based Learning Collaborative President and Trainer-Consultant.
