Birthday Parties

Thank you for choosing us to host your event! We're excited to have you enjoy our facilities with your friends and family. Below is a brief outline of our policies and procedures for hosting a birthday party or other child-related event. If you have any questions ahead of scheduling your event, please email Maygan Williams at src@southalabama.edu.
The following organizations/persons are eligible to rent space within the Department of Campus Recreation and Wellness:
- Currently enrolled South Alabama students
- Currently employed South Alabama faculty and staff members
- South Alabama RSOs
- University Academic or Administrative Departments
- Current members of the Student Recreation Center
Any non-USA person(s) or group(s) must secure a formal sponsorship from a RSO, Academic/Administrative Department, a currently enrolled student, a current member of the Student Recreation Center, or faculty/staff member.
Note: Singularly sponsored rentals (events not hosted by a RSO or department) by a currently enrolled student, employed faculty/staff member, or current member of the Student Recreation Center will be evaluated by the Assistant Director for Facilities and Director of Campus Recreation and Wellness. They may be subject to cancellation.
Intramural Grass Field, Outdoor Sand Volleyball Courts, Outdoor Basketball Courts:
- No hour restrictions
Climbing Wall & Indoor Soccer Court:
- Wednesday 10am to 12pm or 12pm to 2pm
- Friday 10am to 12pm or 12pm to 2pm
- Saturday 10am to 12pm or 12pm to 2pm
- Sunday 12pm to 2pm
Outdoor Pool:
- Saturday 10am to 12pm or 12pm to 2pm
- Sunday 10am to 12pm or 12pm to 2pm
Inclement Weather
Outdoor reservations are subject to sudden cancellation resulting from inclement weather conditions. In the event of weather cancellation, Campus Recreation and Wellness will offer our Indoor Soccer Court (Multipurpose Court) and sports equipment as a party location. The climbing wall will not be available.

- Attendees should include all guests that plan on attending the event, regardless of use of the facility.
- The individual making the reservation will be the primary point of contact for event details.
