Relaxation Room

Relaxation room in Counseling and Testing.


Located in the University Counseling and Wellness Center, the Calm Waters Relaxation Room is a private, quiet space to develop and practice relaxation skills to enhance overall well-being. This is one space on campus to simply rest, breathe, and relax with no agenda. All USA students are welcome.

Students may drop by UCWC or call us at 251-460-7051 to schedule a time.

Availability & Policies

The room can be reserved for 30 min. sessions Monday through Thursday, 1pm – 5pm. Same day appointments may be available. Call to check current availability.

No food or drinks, other than water, are allowed within the relaxation room. 

Workshops/Drop-in Sessions

Weekly Meditation and/or Stress Management workshops will be offered, led by Staff at UCWC. Staff will lead students through exercises to learn mindfulness skills for use in everyday life & to become familiar with the tools in the relaxation room. Check the website for current times.
