At the Department of Information Systems & Technology (IST), we help students turn their passion for computing into rewarding careers. Whether you’re drawn to business, healthcare, cybersecurity, or hands-on technical problem-solving, IST has a path for you.

Undergraduate Programs

  • Computer Information Systems (CIS): A versatile blend of IT and business. Prepare for careers as an application developer, data specialist, or IS professional, with electives in applied artificial intelligence, advanced data management, and health informatics. This program is available in both traditional and online formats.
  • Information Technology (IT): A hands-on program for students who want to build, secure, and manage systems. Choose a track in networking, web publishing, or digital forensics. Many students interested in cybersecurity begin here.
  • Health Informatics (HI): This program equips you to enhance patient care and healthcare efficiency through technology. Health Informatics professionals support providers, streamline organizations, and help patients take an active role in their care.

Why Choose IST?

  • Career-ready: CIS and IT are ABET-accredited, and all majors gain practical experience through internships and senior capstone projects.
